THE BASICS:
I work by “appointment only” at Incognito Tattoo, which is a private studio in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. I am not able to take walk-in tattoos or drop-in inquiries, so please contact me via email for further information about tattoos and consultations.
My hourly rate is $200 per hour for tattooing time, minimum price is $200. I accept digital payment methods such as Venmo, Apple Pay, Square card reader, or cash. A $100 deposit is required for appointments and prior to any drawing being undertaken. This deposit is non-refundable if you fail to appear for your appointment without notice.
HOW TO BOOK:
Most tattoo designs can be worked out via email, but for special larger projects or coverups, I can do a consultation in person if needed, to check size, placement and any other issues. Usually I can give you a “ballpark” price/quote on the tattoo you are after, but larger ongoing work is only undertaken at an hourly rate, paid for per session.
Please email me at tattoosara@gmail.com with a description of your idea. Include:
Placement options

Please allow a few days for me to respond, sorry if there is a delay!
APPOINTMENT TIPS:
When you arrive for your appointment text me or knock on the door for entry, as our door remains locked at all times.
Make sure you have had a good night’s sleep and a healthy meal before your tattoo. If you are feeling unwell leading up to your appointment, please contact me as soon as you can - it is not advisable to get tattooed if you are sick as your pain tolerance and immune system will be negatively affected. I encourage everyone to re-schedule their appointment, at no cost, if they have a temperature, sore throat or any other symptoms or are feeling unwell in any way.
People with periods, also please book major tattoo appointments around your cycle for the same reason - it will hurt a lot more the day of your bleed and just before. I am unable tattoo you if you are pregnant, but it is possible if you are breastfeeding your infant and you have recovered from birth.
It’s better to book tattoo appointments in awareness of and around upcoming summer activities, vacations/travel, or surgeries.
I will not tattoo anyone who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Please bring a government issued photo I.D. to your appointment. You must be 18 years of age or older to be tattooed.
Please also declare if you have any known allergies/sensitivities that could flare up as a result of getting tattooed.
The more relaxed you are during your tattoo, the better experience you will have. Feel free to bring headphones and listen to your music if that helps. Sorry, but I cannot accommodate big groups of friends or family at your tattoo appointment. If you need to bring one companion with you please just let me know. We no longer have a water cooler, so please bring your own water with you to stay hydrated, and any snacks if you need them.
Face masks are optional for clients, so if you prefer to wear a mask for your appointment, please feel free to do so. If the tattoo placement requires very close face-to-face contact, I tend to wear a mask anyway.
TATTOO AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS:
I will apply a bandage, and go through aftercare instructions with you in person.
For padded absorbent dressing:
Leave bandage on for two to four hours. Remove and dispose of bandage. With clean hands, wash your tattoo with a mild fragrance-free liquid soap and warm water, using the palm of your hand to create a lather. Remove all excess ointment, blood and ink. DO NOT use a washcloth or scrub the tattoo. Thoroughly rinse off soap until tattoo feels clean, not gooey or sticky.
Gently pat the tattoo dry with a clean towel or paper towel to remove excess dampness. Air dry the tattoo for 30 mins. After tattoo is dry, gently apply a very thin layer of Aquafor (or other preferred ointment) with clean fingers. No need to goop the ointment on, a thin layer allows the fresh tattoo area to breathe while remaining protected from bacteria.
Continue to apply ointment to the tattoo 2-3 times a day for 5 days, applying each time with clean fingers. Around day five you will likely notice the surface tattoo scab starting to shed, as flakes will begin to lift off the surface. This is normal for the healing process. From day 6 you can switch to a non-scented lotion, applying 2-3 times a day for another 10 days. Do not pick at the scab, just let them flake off on their own.
The healing and peeling process usually takes one to two weeks. During this time, avoid activities that could introduce dirt or bacteria into the tattoo site. It is normal for a tattoo to get itchy during the healing process. If this happens, do not pick or scratch, but lightly slap the tattoo for some relief. You may also feel a little tender or “bruised” for a couple of days in the area of your tattoo - most people feel like they have a little sunburn. This is normal and should go away within a few days. After the tattoo has completely healed, apply a vitamin enriched, fragrance-free moisturizing lotion (like a good Vitamin E cream) daily for a further 2-4 weeks, or until the tattoo has settled into the skin.
Light showering with a healing tattoo is fine, but do not soak or submerge your fresh tattoo in water. NO SWIMMING, BATHS OR HOT TUBS for two weeks. NO DIRECT SUNLIGHT for four weeks. If the tattoo gets sweaty or dirty, wash with liquid soap again. Long after a tattoo has healed, tattoo pigments can be damaged by excessive sun exposure, so always wear sunscreen or clothing over your tattoo if you are going to spend some time in the sun.
For transparent adhesive film bandage (Saniderm) removal:
Perform the removal in a shower, as the warm water helps to loosen the adhesive and reduces discomfort on the skin.
With a clean hand, gentle scratch at one of the corners of the bandage with a fingernail until it starts to lift away. Once enough of an edge has lifted, start to peel away with two fingers pinching the film, and gently peel the film off the tattooed skin. Do not lift UP but ACROSS the surface of the skin. Discard the removed film into the trash, and then wash your tattoo as described above. There may be some plasma residue visible on the surface of the skin, that is normal and just needs to be washed off.
If the film bandage stayed on for only a day or two, proceed to applying Aquafor for the next 3-5 days as described above. If the film stayed on for 5-7 days you can finish the healing process with non-scented lotion.
A very small percentage of people are allergic to the film bandages. If you notice red or pink skin irritation along the margins of the bandage, you may remove the film according to the instructions above. Then complete healing using the ointment and lotion method and allow the fresh tattoo to breathe.
Risk of infection from a tattoo procedure performed in a clean, professional tattoo studio is very low. However, you should contact your health care provider if you have any of the following signs of infection:
Thick yellow or green drainage from the tattoo site, or continuous oozing or bleeding
Red streaks or a hot sensation surrounding and moving away from the tattooed area, worsening pain or burning feeling
Any unusual swelling or elevated body temperature
If these signs are present after several days they may indicate an infection and you should consult a doctor. Please contact me directly if you have any further questions.
"LA SKIN":
The combination of constant sun, an extremely dry climate and our hard water causes the average Southern Californian to have very dehydrated skin. It’s very important to drink a lot of water every day - not only for your health, but it will make your skin nicer to tattoo, faster to heal, and my job a lot easier! Please consider upping your water intake during the week before your appointment, and using a daily moisturizer to nourish your skin. Trust me, it works!
